Meet Louise Percy

Hello, and welcome to The Percy Institute. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about myself and my journey to becoming an Etiquette and Elegant Lifestyle Coach.

I began my working life at The Australian Embassy in Washington D.C. Following my return to Australia I was offered a position in the Press Office of Australian Prime Minister The Hon. E.G. Whitlam AC QC. Following the loss of his government I was offered a position in the Press Office of The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister J.M. Fraser AC, CH GLC, PC. In that time, I was able to travel the world as a VIP with the Prime Ministers visiting London for official engagements with Her Majesty The Queen, Ceremonial Arrivals at The White House, State Dinners in Singapore, Ceremonial Arrivals in France and other European countries, and much more. I gained so much experience!

I moved to Perth, Western Australia and worked in the corporate sector in property development. With my husband being an international corporate lawyer we travelled extensively in a luxurious and sophisticated way; I have always had a passion for elegant entertaining and lifestyle…as did my well travelled mother and father, a senior Royal Australian Navy officer.

Following my political and corporate experiences I found it interesting to explore the differences in social, corporate and business etiquette between other countries and Australia. In 1992 I opened The Percy Institute following many suggestions from colleagues and friends who suggested my knowledge would be appreciated. In the early 2000’s I opened branches in Singapore and Shanghai.

I remain passionate about passing on my knowledge and advising my clients on modern etiquette and elegant lifestyle choices using a contemporary and relevant approach to the subjects. It is a great pleasure to offer intimate, in-person Masterclasses for my clients which I host in an elegant setting in Perth. Online Programmes are available.
